ইসলামে হিজাব চিরকালই দ্বন্দ্বের বিষয়। ফলে, বিশাল সংখ্যক মুসলিম নারী হিজাব পরতে অস্বীকার করছে। বেশিরভাগ পুরুষ মনে করে, মেয়েরা নিজেদের ঢাকার জন্য সম্পূর্ণ চেষ্টা করছে না। আর অধিকাংশ নারী মনে করে, পুরুষদের থেকে বাঁচার জন্য় কোনও আব্রুই যথেষ্ট নয়। হিজাব রাজনীতি।
