‘গোড়ালিতে ঘুংরুর নিচে ওই একই প্যাটার্নের চওড়া নুপূর, এবং হাতে ও পায়ে জটিল নকশায় আলতার চিহ্ন। তাঁর প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপে, কোমরবন্ধ-নুপূর-ঘুংরু-বালা-চুড়ি সব একে অপরের সঙ্গে লেগে ঝনাৎ-ঝনাৎ আওয়াজ তুলতে লাগল, যেন ব্যান্ডপার্টি!’ উদ্ভট নাচ।

‘২০২১ সালে দাঁড়িয়ে আবার নিজেদের একটা অচেনা লড়াইয়ে যোগদান করতে হয়েছে। সেই যুদ্ধ আমরাই ডেকে এনেছি হয়তো। তবে যুদ্ধের ময়দানে যাঁদের সামনে থেকে আশ্বাস জাগানোর কথা ছিল, তাঁরা নিভৃতে, নিরাপদে। শুধু নিঃশ্বাস নেওয়ার জন্য আজ এই চিৎকার করে গলা ফেটে যাচ্ছে।’ অচেনা লড়াই।
‘Filmmaking in Calcutta has always been a sort of technical battle, mainly as I said due to lack of funds.
